A year ago we started working on this project of the interpreter and researcher Raul Lacilla to create our first medieval “muse” based on his research for 3 years.

It is an instrument that was in use during the XII and XIII centuries, and ushered in the cornamuse in XIV century, the predecessor of most Western European bagpipes in its modern form.

There were many people who supported this initiative, especially the International Course on Medieval Music of Besalú ( Girona). We thank Raul to count on us to make this project happen.
