The XVII Edition of “Encontros da Terra Chá”, is organized by A Pastoriza Town Council, Xermolos Cultural Association and Manuel María Foundation.

The Town Council unanimously approved to dedicate the cultural building to Xosé Manuel Seivane for being “a distinguished figure of Galician culture”. At 14:00 it will be the official inauguration of the house of music, and from 14:30 there will be a meal in A Pastoriza school halll (food price 18€).

Previously, at 12:00 it´s organized a roundtable on the figure of Seivane patriarch, by taking part in the talk Santiago Caneiro president of the Gaiteiros Association, Manolo González president of the Galician Artisans Association, Sito Xarracedo gaiteiro and artisan, Galician Raul gaiteiro, Xesús Torres historian, and Xaneco Tubío artisan and secretary of the Gaiteiros Association.

According to Primitivo Iglesias, Mayor of A Pastoriza, the house of music is a rehabilitation of the old agrarian chamber made by the employment workshop, and consists of two floors, first with a very big room, and second with four soundproof classrooms.

The day will end with a folk music party. Hope to see you there!
