Lorient´s Inteceltic Festival ´07
In the same stand as in previous years, Obradoiro de gaitas Seivane exhibited, in Britain, a great collection of bagpipes obtaining an exceptional welcome from musicians all over the world in the Festival included, of course, the ones from Brittany. This year Seivane presented a bagpipe thought for the interpretation of the music of this French region.
The stand was visited by a large number of pipers among whom were Daniel Bellón, Pablo Devigo, Edelmiro Fernández, Alberto Coya, Brais Paz, the Asturian Rubén Alba or Marco Antonio Guardado, the French Mickael Cozien or the Dutch Jean Pierre Van Hees.
A delegation from the Galician Government also traveled to Lorient to know the Festival with a view to the celebration of the Galicia´s year in 2009. Among the personalities, it is necessary to highlight Rubén Lois, General Director of Tourism, Luís Barcia, Delegate of the Consellería Industria, Comercio e Turismo in A Coruña, Francisco Cruz Senra, President of the Consello Galego de Cámaras de Commercio and Iván Piñeiro, chief of the Cabinet of Press of the Dirección Xeral de Turismo. Also the Delegates of Culture from A Coruña and Pontevedra, Milagros Lantes Seara and María Xesús López Escudeiro, respectively.
