On Saturday June 28th, the ceremony of the Castelao Medals took place. These medals are awarded to those who make a meritorious contribution to Galicia. Deeply moved and full of pride we received one of the medals, which are considered to be emblems of Galicianness.

We are profoundly honoured by such a high distinction, and we want to share it joyfully with all of you, gaiteiros and lovers of Galicia and of traditional music.

The Seivane family played some pieces, and our little gaiteiro Brais Seivane was the great protagonist, venturing on various solos. It was an unforgettable moment.
