During a special Radio Galega program broadcast from the Theater of the Association “La Juventud” of Cecebre, José Manuel Seivane received the award “Recuncho da Palleta” which is given each year to a person or entity that is distinguished by its work in favour of traditional Galician music. During the two-hour program, Seivane had the opportunity to hear several groups and soloists who played in his honor. During the second hour he could hear a concert by the trio Vaamonde, Lamas and Romero. Seivane also played some Galician songs together with his family and responded to questions put to him by Emilio Españadero, director of “Lume na Palleira”. The award was presented by Santiago Caneiro, president of the Association of Galician Bagpipers.
